This program has helped my father and me in so many ways. After my mom passed my dad was lost and had no one to help him in this time of need for my brother. Although there were many ups and downs, this year gave my brother the chance to learn the word of God and to find guidance in his path and ways of life. This helped him understand the ways and meaning of life, how to respect others and gave him wisdom and tools on how to handle difficult situations in the real world.
This staff is great. They are knowledgeable, creative and spiritual. They take the time to teach and help others learn the meaning of God.

With the teen years, parents need to be so cautious nowadays. Where do our teens go after school? This program has been a safe haven for my child that she actually enjoys too!

I am a working mother trying to do it all, providing for my family, taking care of home, raising kids. Like most working moms, one of the greatest concerns is finding quality childcare.
Michelle Hambacher, Cheryl and the staff at El Camino Baptist Church provide a safe, caring environment for my children. The convenience of having the kids picked up at school provides peace of mind while I'm away. The schedule is varied and includes discussions on values, homework time, and exercise.
Most childcare places do not serve middle school children, as if they no longer need the after-school care. I feel blessed to have found a location that recognizes the need and is willing to provide excellent care to their kids.
I go to work every day knowing that my children are in good hands.

We were looking for a safe, fun place for our children after school. We also longed for a place where they could grow in their knowledge of God. El Camino After School teaches practical lessons geared to their age group helping them problem-solve issues they face in daily life. It has been a true blessing being involved with this program.

My daughter has been El Camino’s After School Program for almost two years now. It is the best program I’ve ever come across. She really enjoys having fun and making friends while also learning about important life lessons. They make sure homework is a priority and also help tutor the kids. The staff is wonderful. They really care about the kids and it shows. They are kind, patient, and are always there to help. My daughter never liked going to after school programs until she started coming here, and now she wants to go everyday!

My family moved to Tucson a year ago. We quickly discovered that the school busing systems are not quite what we are used to; expecting children to walk several miles. Since I am a working mom and have no family in Arizona, I found myself in a scary situation. After much panic and making several phone calls to licensed childcare providers in the area (which by the way wanted $190.00 week for two kids 3 hours a day plus a fuel surcharge of $5 a day!) Michelle at El Camino Baptist Church Afterschool program was an answered prayer.
She is a true examnple of Christianity. Her program offers transportation, snack, structered Bible study, homework help and physical activity. Michelle truly goes above and beyond. The Program fees are ONLY $35.00 per week per child. That is a $155.00 a week savings.
In addition, my children have quickly made new friends at the program and received invitations to church events and birthday parties.
I would recommend this program to anyone in need of an afterschool program or if you are just looking for some structure in your child's afternoon. It is truly a blessing and the best program in town!
