I'm a stay-at-home parent, should I enroll my student in your program?
Yes! We offer a safe, positive environment for your student to be active, meet new friends and caring adults, time to complete daily homework and consistent Biblical teaching targeted to issues facing kids today.
Is your program licensed?
Yes. We are licensed through the state of Arizona.
Are you DES certified?
Yes. Check with your local DES office for requirements and restrictions (egov.azdes.gov/eol/EOLSearch.aspx)
What grades of students are in the program?
Our program welcomes students who are currently in the 4th through 8th grades.
My child will turn 14 years old during the school year. Can they still attend?
Yes. We allow 14 year olds, but cannot allow children to attend if they turn 15 years old during the school year.
How does my student get to and from the program?
We offer transportation from Gridley Middle School, Magee Middle School, Henry Elementary School & Academy of Tucson. Students are avialable for pick up at our facility located at 7777 E. Speedway Blvd.
Are you open when there is no school?
No. We are only open when the children have school. We follow the TUSD schedule.
Do I have to pay when my child is absent?
Yes. You pay the tuition cost whether the child comes or not. Please see the handbook for details.
Do I have to pay to keep my child’s spot when TUSD has vacation weeks and there is no school that week (i.e. Winter break)?
We do not charge for TUSD vacation weeks when TUSD is out for the entire week. We DO CHARGE for the entire week if the vacation is only for a part of the week.
If I forgot to list a particular person that I want to pick up my child, can I just call you that day and tell you their name?
No. We do not allow phone verifications. Please see our pick up policies and procedures in our handbook for more details.
What kind of snacks do you serve?
Because we are state licensed and contracted with the “Empower Pack” food program, we serve 1% milk, whole grains, fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. Please let us know if your child has any dietary needs that need to be addressed.
Can my child bring their own snacks?
Yes, but we cannot refrigerate, cook or store food for your child. No glass bottles, soda or "energy drinks" of any kind.
I would like to bring cupcakes/a cake to your program to share for my child’s birthday. Is this allowed?
Yes, but the food must be store-bought and unopened.
Can I see the material you will be using in your program?
Yes. Lesson plans for the week will be available for you to read at the beginning of each week.
What are your discipline procedures?
We use 10 minute time outs and removal of privileges.
